Description
The FJ Gritsch Grüner Veltliner Ried Axpoint 2024 comes from one of the most famous terraced vineyards in the Wachau, situated between Weißenkirchen and Spitz. The Ried Axpoint is characterized by lean primary rock soils, steep stone walls, and a special microclimate along the Danube, which lends the wines much minerality and structure.
The 2024 vintage produced particularly clear and balanced Grüner Veltliners. The long ripening periods and cool nights ensured a harmonious balance between power, freshness, and elegance. As a result, the wine exhibits great tension and depth, along with a fine Wachau style.
FJ Gritsch relies on meticulous manual labor in the steep terraced vineyards and a precise, restrained vinification in the cellar. The Ried Axpoint impressively combines origin, minerality, and structure, and possesses great development potential.
