Description
The ZIEREGG KÅR 2022 is one of the most precise and distinctive Sauvignon Blancs from Southern Styria. The high-altitude Zieregg vineyard, located on the border with Slovenia, is characterized by coral limestone soils, steep slopes, and a cool microclimate, which lends the wines immense tension and a striking mineral depth. The "KÅR" selection denotes particularly lime-rich parcels within this famous site.
The 2022 vintage presents itself as exceptionally focused and serene. Despite its concentration, the wine never feels heavy but rather taut, saline, and almost cool in style. Instead of loud aromatics, Tement deliberately emphasizes structure, precision, and origin.
Biodynamic farming and a very reduced winemaking process give the wine an uncompromisingly terroir-driven character. As a result, the ZIEREGG KÅR appears almost Burgundian in its nature – profound, mineral, and with enormous aging potential.
