Description
The Zieregg Vinothek Reserve 2019 is one of Tement's most uncompromising Sauvignon Blancs. The grapes come from the best and oldest parcels of the legendary Ried Zieregg, whose lean coral limestone soils and cool microclimate on the Slovenian border provide an exceptionally mineral and profound style.
The 2019 vintage shows enormous calm and precision. The wine appears dense and concentrated, yet at the same time taut and almost cool in its structure. Instead of expressive fruit, the Vinothek Reserve clearly focuses on salty minerality, texture, and impressive length. With some aging, the wine also develops an almost Burgundian complexity.
Tement works organically and with minimal intervention in the cellar, ensuring that origin and vintage uncompromisingly take center stage. This creates a Sauvignon Blanc with exceptional depth, precise tension, and enormous development potential – powerful, elegant, and very individual.
