Description
"Les Peuillets" is one of Savigny-lès-Beaune's finest Premier Cru sites, producing Pinot Noirs that harmoniously combine elegance and structure. The chalky and clay-rich soils give the wine a fine mineral tension and a very precise, silky style. Jean-Baptiste Boudier consciously interprets the site with a strong terroir focus and an emphasis on transparency and Burgundian finesse.
The 2022 Premier Cru is open and harmonious, yet incredibly clear and focused. The Pinot Noir combines juicy red fruit with subtle spice and a fresh, elegant structure. Instead of power or heavy extraction, "Les Peuillets" clearly prioritizes balance, precision, and classic Burgundian drinkability. This combination of depth and lightness is precisely what makes the wine so distinctive.
The wood aging remains subtle and exceptionally well-integrated, ensuring that the origin and vintage are uncompromisingly in the spotlight. As a result, the Savigny-lès-Beaune Premier Cru displays a very classic Côte de Beaune style – silky, mineral, and with a long, elegant finish.
